The Unsung Command

AND WHY IT MATTERS

Have you ever found yourself wishing the family of God felt a little more like … well, like a family?

Would it surprise you to learn that, beginning with Jesus’ command to us in the book of John, there are fifty-nine times the New Testament specifically addresses the ways we in the Church are supposed to love one another?

This study is the perfect opportunity to get together with other Christian women and dig deep into what can often be the unsung command of the Church—to love one another in the body of Christ the same way He’s loved us.

Put aside any thoughts of daily or weekly homework requirements. This study is meant to be done in person with other women, setting your own pace as a group.

My prayer is that as you wrestle out the Scriptures and questions in this workbook, as you grow in your faith and in your love for one another, and as you mentor and disciple one another, you will also see the character and nature of God in the verses and find yourself utterly captivated by His Word.

Meet the Author

Becky Timmons has held many titles in her adult life: stay-at-home-mom, social worker, wedding planner, business owner, director, preacher’s kid, women’s ministries leader, Bible study teacher.

Her greatest titles, however, have always been: Christ-follower; wife to Michael; mom to Drew and Nick; sister to Gary, Debbie, and Brenda; and friend to those cherished ones who have faithfully, steadfastly, and loyally been a part of the story of her life.

Her greatest passions are finding new treasures while studying the Bible, and sitting in the sun with a good book (bonus if it’s tropical and/or by a body of water!).

She lives with her husband in the heart of Oregon wine country, and loves her newest title of empty nester.
